Farm Hand
Hands-on farm role caring for stud bulls and maintaining our Bacchus Marsh facility. Ideal for someone with practical cattle handling experience.
About the role
Genetics Australia is looking for a hands-on Farm Hand to join our team at our Bacchus Marsh facility. In this role you’ll work alongside experienced stockpeople caring for our bulls, maintaining paddocks and yards, and supporting the day-to-day operations that keep the farm running.
What you’ll do
- Daily feeding, health checks, and general husbandry of stud bulls
- Assisting with routine veterinary procedures and semen collection
- Maintaining pastures, fencing, yards and general farm infrastructure
- Operating tractors and farm equipment safely
- Keeping accurate records in our livestock management system
About you
- Practical experience with cattle handling — dairy or beef
- A current Australian driver’s licence (tractor/chemical/forklift tickets are a bonus)
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Happy to work outdoors in all conditions and contribute to a small, supportive team
